Postponement of UHRS Congress to 2021

Dear colleagues and friends!

Every year since 2017, we look forward to meeting and communicating with colleagues from all over the world at the Congress of the Ukrainian Hair Research Society. We are going through a difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic, which, in one way or another, affects all of us. The attention of the UHRS team is primarily focused on the health and safety of our delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and all interested parties in connection with the aggravation of the situation around the world. Given the exceptional circumstances and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the UHRS2020 Organizing Committee decided that the 3rd UHRS2020 Congress will be postponed. The UHRS Congress is planned to be held at the same venue, at the Fairmont Hotel, in November 2021.

Original ideas for the meeting and content, a fantastic cast of international and national speakers, as well as the desire of a huge number of delegates from the Eurasian territory to attend the event, are worthy of the planned UHRS Congress live. We recognize the value of the work done, which many of you have invested in preparing presentations and traveling to UHRS 2020, and we hope you can join us in 2021. If you have applied for registration for the Congress, are a speaker, sponsor or exhibitor, we will contact you to discuss further cooperation.

WELCOME

BBUILDING BRIDGES – the slogan of the 3rd UHRS Congress 2021 was not born by chance. For many years we have been building bridges between science and practice, doctors and patients, experts and young specialists, between leading scientific associations to create friendly professional ties, integrate and relay world trichological knowledge.

The invitation of the Ukrainian Hair Research Society in 2019 to the family of the International Federation of Hair Research Societies (IFHRS) is a natural result of many years of efforts by a team of Ukrainian specialists interested in the development of hair science. And today, we are happy to meet the leaders of the Federation’s friendly communities at the 3rd UHRS Congress in Kyiv.

The scientific program of the Congress will focus on one of the most intriguing mysteries in modern dermatology – alopecia areata. We consider it a significant achievement of the community to participate in the work of the global consensus Global Alopecia Areata Registry. At the UHRS Congress 2021, the leading experts of the project will share their experience in managing patients with this nosology. Scientific reports will be supplemented by unique workshops demonstrating injection methods and technologies for the use of immunoirritants in the treatment of alopecia areata, aesthetic correction using tricopigmentation and hair replacement systems. The program of the event, under the auspices of the School of Alopecia, is a meeting of patients and doctors in a joint project to create an All-Ukrainian registry of patients with alopecia areata. Special attention will be paid to the presentation of guidelines for the treatment of alopecia areata.

Every year, the UHRS Congress confirms the proven highest status of scientific content, scope and organization. Creating the tradition of UHRS meetings, we want to bring something new and interesting every time. In 2021, an interactive session of clinical analyzes in trichology – Trichology Consilium will appear in the structure of the Congress, which will collect a selection of cases from 30 countries around the world with the support of Live-trichoscopy. And also, we plan to open a new facet of the science of hair in the session of trichopsychodermatology, confirming its interdisciplinary and fundamental status.

The UHRS 2021 Congress will take place in the very heart of the capital, on the banks of the majestic Dnieper. We are greeted by the magnificent Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv – an ideal place to meet friends and colleagues. We know the local infrastructure well and will be happy to help you discover Ukrainian traditions, classical and modern Ukrainian culture.
